Under this slogan, the first forum for the Belarusian business community «Export League» dedicated to the promotion of domestic products to foreign markets, was held in Minsk on November 14, 2023. The event brought together representatives of leading financial and non-financial export support organizations, domestic banks, and government agencies.
The forum was opened by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov. He focused on the opportunities provided by the state to support domestic exporters and pointed out the need for practical application of these opportunities in the new geopolitical realities. The effectiveness of financial instruments for export support defined by Decree No. 534 was also noted.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Nazaruk outlined the main trends in the development of the economy of the Republic of Belarus taking into account the sanctions pressure of the collective West.
Gennady Mitskevich, General Director of Eximgarant of Belarus, spoke at the plenary part of the forum. He spoke about the history of the formation and development of Decree No. 534, and what factors today's legislation on export insurance and financing allows Belarusian exporters to achieve the significant results they have. The emphasis was also placed on current trends in export support regulations, new legislation and the already established practice of their application. Information was presented on popular Eximgarant of Belarus products, statistical data was analyzed, and prospects for the development of export insurance in the Republic of Belarus were outlined.
At the end of the event, an agreement was reached to hold an annual forum in a similar format, which will allow Belarusian businesses to receive practical instructions on how to apply knowledge about the national export promotion system in Belarus through a constructive dialogue between representatives of Belarusian export support institutions.
