Eximgarant of Belarus took part in the conference "Settlements and Payments 2023: Russia, Belarus and Foreign Partners"

On February 16, 2023, the international conference "Settlements and Payments 2023: Russia, Belarus and Foreign Partners" was held in Moscow.

The event brought together representatives of ROSBANK, ALFA-BANK, Raiffeisenbank, Belagroprombank, FACTORing PRO, ATOMYZE, the Russian Export Center Group of companies, SINOSURE (China). Eximgarant of Belarus was represented by Ilya Sakhar, Head of the International Cooperation Division, and Olga Ostryakova, Head of the Export Risk Insurance Department.

The main topic of the conference was economic cooperation between Russia and Belarus, as well as interaction with external partners in the context of current restrictions. The participants discussed the application questions of trade finance instruments in import-export operations, transaction structuring, interaction with ECA, prospects for the development international factoring operations, digital financial assets. In the current situation, it is relevant to introduce new methods of payment for product deliveries by making payments from the jurisdiction of the UAE, Hong Kong, etc., using national currencies, cryptocurrencies as an alternative in settlements between partners and foreign economic activity, and using smart contracts in settlements.

Eximgarant of Belarus, EXIAR and SINOSURE took part in the panel discussion "Trade Finance". ECA representatives discussed the implementation of new insurance solutions, support for insurance coverage during imports, approaches to risk assessment when providing insurance and financial support to exporters to the regions of Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
