Africa is a promising partner for long-term mutually beneficial cooperation

Under this slogan, on October 29, 2024, Minsk hosted the International Legal Forum "Africa: Legal Subtleties of Doing Business", dedicated to the development of relations with African countries and ensuring the growth of exports of Belarusian goods and services to the African market. The organizer was the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event brought together more than 240 representatives of financial and non-financial export support organizations, domestic enterprises, government agencies, expert practitioners working with African countries.

The forum was opened by the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov and emphasized that "Africa's potential is obvious. According to IMF estimates, six out of the ten fastest growing economies in the world are African". Taking into account modern trends and the need to diversify export supplies and enter distant markets, the expansion of trade and economic relations between Belarus and the countries of the African continent is becoming increasingly important. However, it is necessary to take into account the specifics of the African market, its business culture, calculate investment risks, insurance nuances and legal aspects of contracts.

These and other issues became topics of discussion at the legal Forum. Yuliya Stsezhka, Head of the Export Risk Insurance Division of the Eximgarant of Belarus, was one of the speakers on the topic of "Insurance for deliveries to African countries: classic insurance, export risk insurance, types of security instruments".

Eximgarant of Belarus acted as the Official Partner of the Forum.
