Attention to those traveling abroad!!!

«Eximgarant of Belarus» and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus inform that due to the emergence of a new strain of monkeypox virus has been reported to have emerged in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is spreading rapidly, including to neighbouring countries (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda).
The World Health Organization (WHO) defined the monkeypox outbreak in the African region as a public health emergency of international concern.

According to the information provided by the Consular Directorate-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, in order to prevent further spread of monkeypox into Nigeria, the Nigerian authorities have introduced a mandatory requirement for all citizens arriving in the country to fill out a health declaration. It is recommended to do this online before entering Nigeria.

The Ministry of Health has organized and is constantly monitoring the epidemiological situation of monkeypox not only in the Republic of Belarus, but also in foreign countries, and has ensured readiness for the existing possibility of importation of this infection from the territories of other states due to the intensive movement of people and the growth of economic, cultural and tourist ties.
