Eximgarant of Belarus took part in the Berne Union online conferences

On may 13-14, 2020, the Berne Union held a series of online conferences. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most members of the Union were motivated to continue working together through online content, which will apparently become an integral part of the union's activities.
The conferences were attended by more than 150 representatives of the world's ECAs and funding institutions. Speakers were representatives of companies and corporations: Paris Club, Oxford Analytica, CESCE (Spain), Coface (France), multinational corporations ATI and SMBC, Clyde&Co (international law firm), CHUBB (p&c insurance company and a leading commercial lines insurer in the USA).
The main presentations were on the topic "Prospects for the global economy during and after the COVID-19 pandemic". Participants raised issues of global economic challenges, the impact of force majeure on trade agreements, and changes in debt collection processes in various jurisdictions. Besides that ECA representatives discussed how government restrictions on COVID-19 have affected many leading economies, commodity prices, and global trade in general.
