A Working Meeting between ECAs of Russia and Belarus

On June 1, 2018, a working meeting of Heads of the national export credit agencies of Russia and Belarus was held in Moscow.
Gennady Mitskevich, CEO of Eximgarant represented Belarus, the Russian side was represented by Andrey Slepnev, CEO of JSC "Russian Export Center" and Alexey Tyupanov, CEO of JSC "EXIAR".
The parties discussed the results of their work both in bilateral format and within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union cooperation, determined the prospects for cooperation to promote the building and strengthening of the trade and economic potential of our countries, and to increase the number of joint projects.
In addition, the joint projects financing issues (industry, pharmaceuticals, and projects containing the Russian component) were discussed both in the Republic of Belarus and in the third countries under the national ECAs insurance coverage.
Also, at the meeting participants agreed to create a Russian-Belarusian reinsurance platform to carry out export-import operations on the basis of Exiar and Eximgarant.
