Business seminar "Africa. Export prospects ": a guide for Belarusian exporters

On March 27, 2018 in Minsk, with the Eximgarant support, a business seminar "Africa. Export prospects" was held. That was the first event within the framework of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry new project "Export School".
The aim of the project is the experience exchange on various issues of national exports promotion and support, discussion of implemented projects and the solutions to current issues.
The business seminar was attended by Andrei Dapkunas, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Ulakhovich, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, diplomatic and consular institutions Heads of Nigeria, Sudan, Uganda, South Africa in the Republic of Belarus, and representatives of about 200 Belarusian enterprises and companies.
The speakers noted that, despite the interest of Belarusian enterprises in presence and work on the African continent, there are certain difficulties. Vladimir Ulakhovich: "Our task is to motivate business and tell about the support facilities of BelCCI, the Development Bank, and Eximgarant of Belarus”.
Andrei Sakovich, Eximgarant Deputy Head of the Export Risk Insurance Division, presented information on existing export risks insurance mechanisms, Eximgarant’s possibilities and insurance products that can be used when enterprises enter the African market.
