On June 2–4, 2014 Slovak delegation headed by State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Slovakia Mr.Pavol Pavlis visited to Belarus.
The visit took place due to the decision of the 11th session of Belarus-Slovak Joint Committee on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation that took place in November 2013 in Bratislava. The Commission is headed by Mr.Alexandr Guryanov from the Belarusian side, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Mr.Pavol Pavlis — from the Slovak side.
During this visit Eximgarant of Belarus held a meeting with representatives of Export-Import Bank of Slovakia Eximbanka SR, with which Eximgarant maintains relationships from the moment of signing of the cooperation agreement in 2008. At the meeting the Slovak side was represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eximbanka SR, Mr.Igor Lichnowsky, Director Mrs. Miriam Litasova, as well as the Director of Bilateral Trade Department of the Ministry of economy of Slovakia Mr. Peter Oswald; from Eximgarant of Belarus — General Manager Mr. Gennady Mitskevich, Deputy General Manager Mr. Igor Liskovec, Head of International Business Development Department Mr. Oleg Rutkowski.
The parties outlined the prospects for support of the Belarusian-Slovak economic and trade cooperation, and agreed to assist in the provision of insurance coverage of Belarusian and Slovak export projects.
In the framework of the meeting Eximgarant of Belarus expressed its readiness to provide insurance cover of risks, associated with the implementation of investment programs covered by Eximbanka SR on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
